Bio Details:

Reina has ten years experience with coordinating research studies in clinical and behavioral sciences. Born and raised in Fresno, CA, Reina worked and studied at the University of Minnesota and received her Masters degree in Psychology in 2010. She has worked on diverse projects including conflict resolution, stigma and discrimination, quality of life for cancer survivors, HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (i.e., PrEP), and HIV testing habits among young men of color.

What Reina loves most about coordinating studies is the personal element of working directly with study volunteers. Reina has a deep commitment to social justice, as evidenced by taking leadership roles in outreach and education about clinical trials among communities typically underrepresented in research. Recently, she raised money for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation by riding her bike from SF to LA with several others as part of the AIDS Lifecycle. In her spare time, she spoils her 5 year old Chihuahua and hunts down the best ice cream in SF.
