Dr. Toby Fugate received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri in 2002. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee in 2005. Later, he completed an Infectious Disease Fellowship at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 2007. From 2007 to 2014, he was in Infectious Disease private practice in Charleston, South Carolina. During his time in private practice in Charleston, he was the Medical Director of the Ryan White Wellness Center at St. Francis Hospital.
He moved to New Orleans in 2014 to join the staff at CrescentCare Health.
His areas of interest are HIV Primary Care, Gay Men’s Health, and High Resolution Anoscopy. He is Board Certified in Infectious Diseases and is a member of the American College of Physicians.
