Bob Siedle-Khan has worked on research projects at UCSF since 2001, recruiting and interviewing participants at bathhouses and bars; in clinics and parks; outside clubs and on-line. He has done this work in English and Spanish. He trained and supervised teams of interviewers to recruit customers as they left sex clubs (randomly selected) 24 hours a day, seven days a week. He also worked as an HIV/STD and fertility counselor for the City of Berkeley.
Bob grew up in Trinidad, Venezuela, Peru, Texas, Panama, Florida and Britain. He has worked on human rights projects in Guatemala, Sri Lanka and South Africa, and has trained people in may countries in human rights observation work.
Bob enjoys writing short pieces and performing them or doing improv at several venues in the San Francisco Bay Area.
