Hettie Mercer has been a RN since 1982 and joined Capital Digestive Care as a Clinical Research Coordinator in 2013. As a certified gastroenterology nurse with a passion for cancer prevention, joining the Anchor study team in 2016 is a perfect fit for her as she can utilize her extensive clinical knowledge and experience.
Previously she worked as a clinical gastroenterology nurse and charge nurse at Sibley Memorial Hospital’s Endoscopy Unit in Washington, DC for more than 15 years before becoming the nurse manager of the Outpatient Procedure Suite overseeing Endoscopy, Pain Management, Invasive Cardiology and the Infusion Center.
In her free time, she loves to visit State and National Parks, hike, bike, read, and travel the world.
