I have worked at Capital Digestive Care with Dr. Jessica Korman for the past 7 years. I became a Study Coordinator for ANCHOR 9 months ago. My role as Study Coordinator consists of me recruiting participants in the community, contacting participants for upcoming appointments, maintaining healthy and respectful relationships with participants and data entry.
My introduction to the HIV/LGBTQ community started as a teenager. Back then I volunteered with my church doing coat drives. We would always go to downtown D.C (where I was raised) and interact with members of the LGBTQ community. That experience left me wanting to do more. So back in 2016 when Dr. Korman mentioned she would be joining an anal cancer prevention study, I immediately jumped at the chance to take part in the study and give back to the community. And here I am a few years later as a Study Coordinator working on behalf of people living with HIV.
When I’m not in the community recruiting participants I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
