Carlos first got involved in experimental research during his freshman year at Florida State University in 2016. His research work at Florida State mainly focused on DYT1 dystonia, looking into possible changes in dopamine neurotransmission early in development. In 2020, Carlos began work in clinical research at the University of Miami with the ANCHOR study focused on HPV and anal dysplasia. Outside of research, Carlos enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and cooking.
